Whats up yall

Right now im running a sps66 with mach 6's . This morning i went out to the truck and lots of water was on the ground. Noticed the overflow bottle was full with some stuff (light brown) Floating on top and the radiator about half full. No oil in water or water in oil. Still Holding good boost and havent used anymore water. Im running 40-51 lb of boost. could this be a HG? I wana get it ringed anyway but really dont have 1800 bucks. and plus ill be needing 1000 bucks for a vp! Wow..... just looking for advice i guess its time to go see olee

I pulling my 01 in the garage today for simular problem, I found water on the ground too, then I checked the oil and found water in there too. Probably head gasket, but when you get water in the oil you best look at the rotating assembly aswell. I know that Igoing to do a complete re&re on mine because it would sure suck to do the HG and 100 km down the road realize that wasn't the only thing you broke.

Good luck to you, I let you know if I find anything else broken with mine.

thanks for the reply. I just have pushed out some water. It did it setting over night. It hasnt pushed anymore in a test run but im not running it till i get a headgasket. Would you think there would be Damage else where?

Well, I know It sounds bad but one can't rule out a cracked head either. I fixed a few haed gaskets now and it is normally easy to see if it was the HG leaking upon inspection. If you had water on the ground from your breather, that means all that water was in your oil it has just evaporated out now. Water in the oil can and will do serious bearing, and rotating assembly damage depending on how much and how long it was in there. I would suspect in your case It is a HG but this also depends on how much heat it saw aswell.

Tell me a little about your set up.

It saw some pretty crazy pulls with high temps, i was also thinking it could be a cracked head it saw 1500 a few hard times. Im running a drag comp with mach 6's and a sps66 . 4. 10 gear. I talked to doug earlier and he says theres a new setup coming to make a pretty set of twins! maybe the way to go!
