The passanger headlamp on my truck seems to be aimed down, far below where it should be aimed. I tried to adjust up it by turning the screw at the bottom front of the light. I noticed that the lamp seemed not to be firmly affixed to the screw adjustment and can aim down after a few trips. The light on the driver side seems to be more solidly attached to the screw.

Is this the correct adjusting screw? Should it be firmly connected to the lamp? Any advice would be appreciated.

Its supposed to be firmly attached to the headlamp. Problem is everything is plastic except for the screw. its possible the threads are stripped as well. Unfortunately, the headlamp is sold as an assembly only from Dodge. So if something is broken it can be spendy.

I've found in the JCWhitney Catalog the complete headlight assembly for our Dodges. The part numbers are 47SX6278A (drivers side) and 47SX6279R (passenger side). Their phone number is 800-865-4227. Their catalog price is $106. 95 each.

Odds are the lamp has seperated from the screw. A trip into a snowbank or hitting a deer would do it too. I've fixed a few like this.

Look real close, the screw head should snap into the little bracket, be a little cautious in the cold because the plastic does get brittle.

Thanks for the comments and parts numbers. These seem to be a little pricy for the plastic parts. I will look a little closer at the screw attachment before I do anything foolish.
