Headlamp dimmer switch problems

when I go from high beams to low beams the hi's go off but the lows don't gome on. Click again and hi beams gome back on. repeat this 3 or 4 times and I get low beams. Can this be fixed other than replaceing the multi-function switch?

You might get some help if you post in the right place. If you're in the Southeast, that's great---but this is where we talk about Events -mostly.
