Im finally getting new head light housings. Doing a sport package head light conversion, and adding a HD wire harness with relays. Im sticking with Halogen bulbs. (Im not doing LEDS so please dont reply to use them)

Anyone familiar with "Perde" brand bulbs. Are they good? These are what they offer when getting the new housings

I remember some kind of upgrade Sylvania Silverstar ultra bulbs were supposed to be good?

I will never run Sylvania again, they don't last. I run Philips. I consider Osram the best, but they're very difficult to find.
 
This is from my maintenance log. I have done the sport headlights conversion years ago. Below are bulb recommendations from Daniel Stern. These recommendations are dated but I still use them.

The best 9007 bulbs presently on the market are the GE Night
Hawk Xenon 9007NHX or the Philips Xtreme Vision 9007XVS2

The best 9004 bulbs presently on the market are the GE Night
Hawk Platnium 9004NHP or Philips Xtreme Vision 9004XVS2

One thing I am wondering.... The sport has two bulbs with 9007 low beam bulb, has both high and low filaments (I think),, and the High beam bulb 9004 (also used with non sport) has two filaments high and low beam.

So how does the sport set-up work,,,, does it just illuminate One of the filaments in each of the two bulbs, and the other filament isn't even used at all?

Simple rule, the brighter the Halogen bulb is - the faster it burns out.
Brand doesn't matter at all for this as it is simple physics.

Means, a standard bulb lasts the longest given it is manufactured decently and not just cheap crap.
 
My experience is different from Ozy. I went through SEVERAL Sylvania’s before switching to Philips, probably 6-9 month average. I have yet to replace a Philips. Sylvania Silverstar Ultra’s and Philips CrystalVision Platinum’s. This was in my truck, my Avalanche, and a Chevy HHR.

Your mileage may vary.

I dont even like the super white High-K lights. especially on someone else's vehicle blinding me.

They work exactly like the four headlight systems worked on vehicles during the Sixties and Seventies.

Outboard bulbs ........... 9007 - low beam and high beam filaments

Inboard bulbs ..............9004 - low beam and high beam filaments

When low beams are activated:
9007 - low beams only
9004 - low beams are not activated

When high beams are activated:
9007 high beams only
9004 high beams only

The 9004 low beam is never activated. The reflector is not designed for a low beam and will only scatter light, if activated.

If you wire the headlights as designed, you will find that they perform well.
