I have an 04 Ram 2500, and just recently noticed the left tail light ON when the truck was off. I did some digging, and this is what I found.
1) with the ignition on, and headlights turned off - the headlights and tail lights are ON (except center high lamp). The headlamp switch on/off doesn't change the condition.
2) with the ignition off (keys out), the left tail light is on(brake light only). I press the brake and only the center high lamp turns on. Headlight switch on/off has no effect.
3) With the ignition on, turn signals don't function.
After looking at the manual, I should start by replacing the headlamp switch. Next I should consider the FCM.
I want to hear if anyone has any suggestions before I replace the headlamp switch?
Thanks!
