Okay... ... ... ... ... , now that I have your attention... ... ... ... ... wish me luck, taking the Batmobile to the stealers on Monday for a lift pump change.

Yep, 'cause if'n ya don't get all them lumens, candlepower an' electrons back in there, ya won't a be able to see where ya's a goin'! :D

I use amsoil headlight fluid. My lights are 50% brighter, and last 150% longer.

Other maintenance items that get overlooked are muffler bearings and blinker fluid. Make sure you use the chrome muffler bearings, not the black ones. You need a metric adjustable wrench to get the cap off of the blinker fluid reservoir, and make sure you use relative bearing grease on your muffler bearings.

Dave, I bought stainless muffler bearings... ..... should I return them for the chrome? I figured the stainless was more expensive so they must be better. :(

Also, I've been looking all over for my reverse transmission, my truck must be missing it, I anly see one transmission under the truck:eek:

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't believe Amsoil headlight fluid is API certified. Will using it void your headlight warranty?

80 Horsepower Headlamps !

I bought a set of BANKS headlamps and gained 80 HP. They look like arcwelders, Torque has also improved and they don't void the warrantee. :D :D :D :D :D

Just got off the phone with the dealer, they said I should also have my "hooseamajiggy" changed when they change the lift pump. Can someone tell me where this is located?

I also questioned them about a brake squeel I have, and they said they would apply some grease to my brake pads... ... ..... said it would stop the noise. what do you guys think?

Also, should I really replace my windshield every 35,000 miles, they told me Dodge has a problem with the windshield darkening over time:eek:

Don't forget this little trick ...

I just let the stealers change my spark plugs, cause they said they were black, and that's what happens on diesel motors on a count of that old dirty stanky diesel fuel. I told 'em to put in the split fire plugs. It cost me a perdy good bit for 6 split fires + dealer labor ($75), but man what a difference! 10% more power, 15% more fuel ecomomy, 20% less smoke, it don't make that loud noise anymore, and now I might be able out-run a Chibby Prizm. :D

Don't know if you tow or not, but when I found that we were crowding our truck's GVWR and GCVWR when towing, I had my local Firestone dealer replace the air in the tires with helium. Man, I couldn't believe the difference the next time I put it on the scales. It reduced our axle weights by 25% and cut our 0-60 time when towing by 5 seconds! :D The only downside is the exhaust note is now really squeaky and high-pitched. ;)

Batman,

I have the same problem with my windsheild darkening. Se3ems to happen every 24 hours around 5pm. BUT, in the summer it happens a little later.

A dealer told me the brake pedal going to the floor was normal, and that if the transmission has the proper input, it will skip over second and third gear and go directly into Overdirve. No Really, Herb Chambers Dodge in Danvers, MA really told me this.

Batman, might as well have them change the vertical hold adjustment canister as long as they're in there. They're a real bear to get to.

Don't forget to rotate the DRW fender flares every 25k for even wear, whether they need it or not. :D :D :D

Oh $h1t, rotate my fender flares, no-one told me I had to do this. I have 36k on my truck now,! WTF... ... ..... do you think there is irreversible damage now???

Just wait till you have to replace the piston return springs ! They are really expensive on these engines! I don't understand why they were twice the price as my other two vehicles... .

Wow! Can anyone tell me if I'm driving at the speed of light, will my headlights do anything if I turn'em on?

BTW, I'm looking for quality left-handed tools. I already found a LH hammer, but am having trouble getting good LH screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers. Anyone have a source?

Why are you changing the lift pump? Did you get a bad EZ?

At what point do ya top off the fluid in your coil? ... a question a salesman asked my daughter once..... any ideas?

After you've driven your truck on salted roads, don't forget to use your toothbrush to clean the salt out of the sipes in your tires. Salt in the sipes is bad business, kind of like putting tenderizer on a sliced steak.

My windshield used to darken too until I got plasma arc washer fluid from Pup Boys. However, it does tend to darken the washer fluid reservoir over time. :D

New Clapper for Bell Housing

Yep, the new clapper for the bell housing solved that irregular resonance when shifting between first and third. And that brake pulling problem, well, I installed a new set of Ward and Roebuck brake shoes and socks. :p
