Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Overdrive not working ??

I've used a 0000 steel wool pad with some liquid metal polish in a variable speed drill, then a sheepskin pad with the same metal polish on it. Worked well and pretty quick. I suggest grinding those little nubs off first.

Those lil nubs are for head lamp adjusters ;)

Don't know if any shops have them any more though.
 
I have found just regular paint polishing compound ( on the aggressisive side) works better than the kits from the stores.
 
At wife's suggestion (I thought she was crazy) I used wetted Comet cleanser on mine. Took a couple of minutes of elbow grease and they looked much better. Coated with car wax.



After cleaning I noticed one of the headlights had most of the chrome reflector missing from inside. I had noticed it was dimmer than the other, but was so fogged up I couldn't see the missing chrome. Ended up doing the sport headlight conversion and am very pleased. Should have done it much earlier. Might be a good time for sport headlights if you don't already have them.
