Sorry but isn't yours a twist off for the bulbs? and those wonderful :-{} :-{} funny shaped holding clip bolts that rust terrably and not able to be adjusted.

Do you think I could get that plug flat to twist itin straight??????? NOT!!! even in a building were it was warm. And I lost on of those little clips.

I could barely get my hand in to twist it off and like the perverbial monkey once in couldn't move the hand. It was easier to remove the battery bracket and battery to do the lights. :-laf

I just replaced my batterys last week. When I had them out I also replaced my 5 year old headlight bulbs just becasue I had the batterys out and I knew that Murphy's Law would have made the bulb burn out this week. It was very easy to do without the battery in the way. -Jason

I just took those 3 bolts out then pryed lightly and the headlights will pop out. They have a pressure clip that helps hold them in.

Bulbs Out?

Thanx Josh. Will try the 3 bolts out and pry very softly. Maybe with the rubber spoon. It's a scary thing to pry on a headlight. :) Oo.

I tried that once and ended up scratching the top black plastic bumper cover. Deep scratches. I like the bumper up tight close to the headlights with little gap. I think it looks neater. I didn't have the insentive to lower the bumper. If it's a nice truck, pull the batterys and trays. Or find a helper who has the hands of a small child and unlock the rings from the engine compartmant. .

When you guys removed the headlight assembly, did you have to loosen the bumper up? I am about to do the sport headlight conversion and I just soon not mess with the bumper if I don't have to.

When my truck had the stock bumper I didn't have to. (now I REALLY don't have to)

Some guys say they have to loosen it up. Others have enough room.
