I got my brite box to convert to sprot headlamps (they're a christmas gift sooo. . another month)

In the mean time... I need to Locate some bulbs.

I'm currently running Sylvania silvertstar and the delux model- Two Highs and one low beam :-laf as one died last week at 18 months on usage.

I'm painting the old second Gen 3rd Gen Silver and I want a bulb that will have a nice color too it to match the paint. I'm thinking a blue like APC's, but i'm not beyond going with the sylvanias again... although $60-80 for 4 bulbs is damn steep. :--)

The new lights will have clear corners, for which I have already found "silver" coated bulbs to fit.

What do you guys think? Color/Brand???? Anything. . Even experiences with your bulbs.

Thanks

Kyle

When You get the chance, give me some feedback on them. Again, $60 for two bulbs. . maybe it's just the price to pay for 4K bulbs.

I ran those PIAA's for nearly 6 months. They gave great light, but I think my headlight flasher led them to an early death. I couldn't justify the cost again so I switched back to something a bit cheaper.

Need advice on maximum light available

I just ordered a Buckstop today and my wife is giving me a Brite box for Xmas. We live 200 miles from the city and I tend to drive fast on 2 lane roads with a lot of deer, elk and cattle on them. I am looking for the absolute most light I can (affordably!) get out of the factory headlights, Brite box, and the 2 pairs of light openings in the Buckstop (one 4" set, one 6" set). We don't really have fog very often so I don't care too much about that, but getting as much illumination to the sides and out front to see animals as quick as possible is what I care about. Not really concerned what the stuff looks like--I drive through 2 herds of cattle to get to the pavement, so my truck is always pretty much covered in $--t anyway. So when I read about a cool LED glow in the lights, that does nothing for me--I just want to see the road and any obstacles.

I've been searching around TDR for an hour, and definitely seen a lot of people like the PIAA's, but I'm not sure yet what combination of lights would give me the most light to the side and out front, and how to wire them. Should I go for fog pattern lights in the 4" bumper openings which are to the outside of the bumper, and 6" driving lights for distance in the other set, and upgrade all the factory bulbs, or is there another scheme that would make more sense? I was going to get the Fogzillas with the Bright box and put the fog lights on the factory switch with that--I'd like to have as few switches as possible. If I could rig the driving lights to the high beams and have NO extra switches that would be ideal, but I don't know if I can do that or not?

My budget is limited. I had to hold off on geting the Buckstop til I sold my old truck (2 nights ago) and now I am spending more money than I got for that truck on a bumper (including the winch in that figure). My wife is not too thrilled with this... So the $1,000+ HID light sets are definitely out. I have 6 weeks or so til my Buckstop arrives, and I want to have lights for it by the time it does.
