Ok so my headlight knob was broken, pull it out for fog and it falls off in your hands. So I went to Dodge to get a new one, no deal, wanted to sell me the whold switch for $70 or so. I said no thanks... Went to a wrecking yard and picked up the whole switch out of one for $20 or so. I installed it yesterday and now my fog lights don't work... . And neither do the lights on the switch itself, I mean the backlights... I put the old switch back in and same thing. Everything worked fine before I swapped 'em out. I checked the fuse under the hood. Not sure how to check the relay. Anything else I should check? Maybe I pulled a wire loose on the connetions whiles swapping them? Which one is the fog light switch? How are the backlights on the knob lit?

Thanks,

Rattlin...

I added fogs to my truck which is like yours. I bought the entire fog kit including fogs, new switch, harness, relay etc. for around 145 at the dealer. My non-fog switch had only one harness plug in the back but the second one was there for fogs. Check that second plug that goes in the back that may be your problem. If you need a new switch just buy the kit, it will give you 2 new foglights in case you ever break one. Those alone are the cost of the kit.

Thanks, that must mean it's the plug on the left side. I think it only has a couple wires, I'll check that out. When first pulling it out, that was the one that didn't wanna come off very easily, maybe I pulled a wire loose on the connection...
