Has anyone had trouble with the light on their headlight switch not coming on when the switch is turned on? Mine's been doing this for about a month now, and I can usually get it to come on with a quick tap to the top of the dash, so I'm thinking it's probably a loose connection somewhere in the switch.

Can someone with a service manual point me to which wire on the back powers the light? Or does it have a bulb that can be checked?

I wanted to get a few suggestions before I pulled the switch out.

TIA,

Justin

Mine does the same thing if I "flash" truckers with the dimmer switch to let them know they are clear to re-enter my lane. When I turn on the headlights I have to go to bright, then back to dim to get the headlights to come on. I'm sure it is a dimmer switch problem, but it hasn't failed completely yet, so will live with it.

Well, I pulled the switch out tonight to take a look at it. All the connectors on the back looked to be in good shape and making connections. I didn't see any way to get into the switch to check the bulb, so I guess this goes as one whole piece.

Anyone have any ideas what a new switch runs? I'll check around tomorrow, and if it ends up being too much I guess I'll put up with a non lighted switch.
