I replaced my headlight switch a couple of years ago with upgraded switch and connector with relay. I had same problem with switch the other day where low beams would not come on. It sat for a couple of days and still low beams would not come on. I tried my high beams which worked, then tried low beams and now they work! I don't have any confidence driving at night for fear my lights wont work. 96 dodge ram 2500 anyone have suggestions? thanks

Not familiar with an "upgraded switch and connector with relay." Was this a kit you bought somewhere? I rewired my headlight bulb power directly from the battery through a relay activated by the old headlight power wiring. My brights went out the other night and I found the relay for the high bulbs was bad.

May check your relay.

Dust and gunk can enter the multifunction switch at the flasher button that is located on the top. If you exercise the high/low beams a few times and they start working you have a clue. I know of a guy who sprayed electrical contact cleaner into the cracks beside the button to fix his. I took the expensive route and replaced mine.
