2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Headlight switch/wiring - '96 vs '00

Is the headlight wiring the same between a '96 & a '00? Is one positive switch & one ground switch? I have a headlight brightener wiring harness from my '96 gasser that I'd like to put on my '00 CTD if possible. Otherwise it goes on my dad's '96 CTD and I have to come up with something else... .

I do not believe it is... ... . I say this only because the wiring procedure for the sportlite conversion is very different for the pre-99 models and for the 99 and later ones.



I recall something regarding the 99 and up systems using a floating ground while the earlier ones dont... ...
