By some strange turn of events, while pulling my headlight switch on my 1993 Dodge Ram W-350, the melted wires and switch allowed wires to just pull out of the headlight switch plug. Now, I have a new switch plug from the dealer to repair it and the wiring harness on the truck has a different number of wires than the new switch plug fromt the dealer. I just don't want to solder wires that aren't suppose to go together? Any help would be very apreciated, Thanks.

I can't remember any of the titles, but there have been an abundance of posts about these switches. A search should yield what you want. I got a kit for a 94 switch that had wire extensions that made it a little easier to work with it. A couple of the colors were different, and I found which old color lined up with the new ones, by searching the old posts.

I just got my 92 service manual and if you want, I can get you the color codes for the wires on the switch. Let me know.
