Hey all. Just thought I'd pass on my experience with Sylvania SilverStar headlights. I would recommend these to any one who drives at night alot or has trouble driving in the dark. They emit a VERY white light, they make the lights on the car next to you look yellow. They produce a wide pattern with good distance. I installed mine in March and have been very happy with them, especially since I went to swing shift in June. Once again, I think these are a worthwhile upgrade for incresed driver safety and less eye strain at night. There is no substitute for good lights.

Thanks :) Oh, and did you notice whether they attract more or less bugs? Nothing I hate more than travelling several hundred miles through a swarm of moths. Lol

Thanks, i just got here to Alaska and it's starting to get more dark here everyday, i was wondering what i was going to do but i'll try some new headlights. I was told while i was inprocessing here that Moose eyes don't shine, has anyone ever heard that before? It was news to me.

I use 'em too. White light. Different beam pattern req'd me to realign the lights after install. Hear they burn out quicker, but mine are still good for 1 year now.

I didn't notice any more bugs, but I drive too fast to attract bugs :D . And Lock93 is correct, I forgot to mention that I did some fine tuning to my adjustment as well.

I haven't seen mention of, but have been happy with E-code sealed headlights. Ran them on my '89 Montero with 100w bulbs and didn't get flashed because there is a SHARP cut-off above which there is no flash to on-coming drivers. High beams were  as there was NO cut-off. and 100w to light things up. Check out Ebay. Saw a 4 light set for ~$180. Not chicken feed, but worth considering. Wish I had the option on my 2nd/3rd gens. Do a Google search for Susquehanna MotorSports for a better description.
