Headlights shut off

so I was rolling down south and my headlights just shut off and the lamp out warning came on. Luckily I got it to the shoulder with out hitting anything. I flicked the switch on and off and then did same with my plow light switch and they came back on. I don’t think it’s the plow light circuit but I don’t have any codes and they have not done it again in 500 miles. I did a search but nothing came up anyone else ever had this?

What year truck?

It's a 2003 with 208,000 on the clock. I did find that it could possibly be the switch itself.

It is possible that you will be looking at replacing the power distribution center sometime in the near future. First symptoms are random lights out. Then, they will just stay off permanently. Had to do it in our 04.5. It's not an uncommon failure.
