Bug Out

While I was under the new 2020 RAM 3500 dually reconnecting the auxiliary fuel tank to the filler neck, I was looking for the filler neck hose clamp and vent line hose clamp. I found the vent line hose clamp head facing down with the hex part of the clamp head digging into a wire harness that was right there on the frame.

The vent line was resting on the harness and I could feel a indentation in the harness. I don't know if down the road it may have worked itself into the harness causing a short or worse.

Maybe thats the way a engineer wanted it, but it did not look right to me. Of course I turned the head away when reassembling the lines after splicing the aux fuel tank into the filler neck. You should be able to feel it with your fingers.

My apologies

if this has already been discovered and discussed.

Good catch. I think a lot of issues can be prevented by a good inspection when new. Always find a lot of stuff that could potentially rub like that on big trucks.
