heat/defrost problem

after a 3 month wait I finally got the parts for the truck to fix the heater box,or door what ever is wrong in these early 03's. anyone else have the problem of it not changing over from heat to defrost. and if so did "the fix" actually fix the problem?

I am currently having the problem with mine.



Posted a question a couple of weeks ago about a TSB on the subject.



Had the truck in for servicing this week talked to the service lady about it. She was going to check on what she could do for me since I am out of warranty but it is a known problem.



Have had good luck with them in the past so I am hopefull - really don't feel like tearing the dash apart myself.

I have noticed this happening a couple of times. I just turn it back and forth again and it does as it should. I hope it doesn't get worse!!

I got it back from the dealer. it changes over nice and quick now. I did not have time to chat with tech,may call him and find out what is changed.

Mine goes in tonight.

Mine was fixed five times.



The A/C is still not like the way it was on the first day. But, it works ok. I have more leaks or air flowing where its not wanted now. Air flows through the panel vents enough to notice all the time. Dealer claims its normal. The drivers side floor vent is cooler than the passenger side. The driver's side floor never gets really warm enough.
