Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Heat Stress Cracks on block

Ok, here's the deal... Tonight when I took the flywheel off to pop the pilot bearing out, I noticed some little hairline cracks, that looked like heat stress cracks on the back of the block... . is this normal, or is this going to turn into a problem? Please write back and let me know!!

Are you sure they are cracks and not just some kind of marks in the casting? If they were heat cracks the engine would have had to been overheated really badly to get that part of the block that hot.
