Went to start my truck monday morning & the heated air would'nt

come on. After I started it the heaters cycled like normal. Could the

air intake temp. sensor be causing this problem?

Did the same thing this morning.

THANKS, Rick

heated air

What was the air temperature the last two mornings? Believe that the heaters don't work above 59*f ??? If not that check the coil circuit that controls it. Did you wait to start light go out then crank??? Don't believe they come on if cranked too soon? Would look in mauual if you would like. Hope this helps. :D

2-ND TIME

The outside temp. was 37 deg. Wait to start lite came on then went rite out just like the motor was at operating temp.

wait -to-start

Says 14-113 Controlled by the ECM based on the intake manifold air temp sensor input. If the ECM reads intake manifold air temp below 66*f it will turn the wait to start warning lamp on for the pre-start cycle and the lamp will stay on until the pre-heat cycle is over. In the power distrubution center is there not a relay or two that controls them if you have a multimeter pull the relays and put an ohm meter across the coil to check the coil should have about 150 ohms ??? or 12/ 0. 150 amps sorry havn't got my calculator here is back in my room am at camp. I do know that you should have about 0. 150 amps. You probably have a burned relay ??????? Hope this helps if not reply and will try again . :)
