heated mirrors?

Someone help me locate the switch for the heated mirrors. According to my build sheet my truck is supposed to have heated mirrors . I don`t beleive there is anything in the owners man. about them. thanx.

Mine is a push button just below and to the left of the dial that controls temperature. Year 2001; don't know if location same on your year or not, but I would guess it is a button near those same controls.

This feature is a good one - freezing rain here tonight.

No kidding - I thought this was some gimmick to make take more money from the DC addicts until I tried them one morning while there was frost on the pumpkin. Man did they work. There is a button on the same panel the houses the temp control/fan speed switch - down low and to the left. When activated there is a little light next to the switch that comes on.

The 96 hs a different dash than the 01's, I think the change was 98 or 99.

I don't think the 96 dodge has heated mirrors
on them. I had one and don't recall it having them on it was new to the 98 trucks I think.

No heated mirrors until 1998 models. They are the black plactic ones. They have a little heat insgnia on the mirror glass. The 1997 and prior ar chrome plastic and might have power but no heat!

Are you sure the build sheet did not say "power" instead of "heated" mirrors on that '96? I don't beleive the "heated" option came until '98 or '98. 5 model yr (when Dodge changed the style of the mirror)
