"Anyone have heated seats in their 12 valve?"

I did... once... but I wouldn't recommend it!! I was driving along and something started to smell hot. Soon there was smoke rolling up around my legs, and I was desperately looking for a good spot for a "Ram roast"!!

One of the power seat motors had shorted out, and about ended things. Still don't know why the fuse didn't blow.

Mine is heated (driver side only). Aftermarket, not OEM. Rostra products. Have been working great for 5 or 6 years now.

Companies tha build custom leather seat covers will often install heaters in them. That is the route I am going to take.

Question for Jay,

I have installed a Rosta kit on my drivers seat. I still not have installed the wiring, which includes a relay, the contol switch and the red and black wires.

Any Ideas where to locate all this.

I have aftermarket seat heaters in my truck on drivers and passengers seats. They work great and I will put them in every vehicle I buy in the future. You just take the seat covers off and install them on the foam run a wire under the seat for power drill a small hole in the plastic and the side of the seat bottom for the switch and it looks like a factory installed option.

Check www.heatedseatkits.com they have the heaters I have in my truck. They also have a message unit that looks pretty cool.

There are a lot of other companies out there if you type "aftermarket seat heaters" in your browser you will find a lot of options.
