Heated seats

Has anyone ever tried to replace the factory heated seats with the aftermarket ones which are sold at Genos and other places?

Is there something common that breaks on the heated seats that's easy to repair? My drivers side heated seat broke and I'd like to fix it if it's not a huge ordeal.

Devil fixing them is not a problem, you find the break in the wire and solder it and your done. The problem is the soldered area is harder that the original wire and it will keep breaking. Don, I am trying to replace the bottom heating setup
with an aftermarket pad and am looking to see if anyone has worked out the issue of wiring into the factory harness. Cutting off the plugs from the old seat cover and splicing it so it will plug and play.

Sorry, haven't done that. I've replaced factory setups completely but not tried to repair one...........maybe someone will chime in that has?
