On my 2003 Ram 3500 I have had the TSB done on the airbox door that breaks twice, this last time it didn't solve the problem and I just replaced the control head with no change. Thee air comes out the vents or defrost or wherever the knob is set to. After an hour the slowly drops in speed until almost nothing is coming out even with the fan on high. You can hear it going somewhere but not where it is suppose to be going. It doesn't matter where you turn the knob. Leave the truck overnight and it works fine again in the morning for an hour. Dealer is stumped and I have put $900. 00 into it with nothing fixed yet. Anyone else have this problem??

Thanks

Your evaporator is freezing up due to low frion. When your A/C acts up check the A/C box under the passenger side dash for alot of moisture on the outside of it. If you turn the truck off you might evan here the ice inside making a cracking sound. If this is the case you need to evacuate and recharge your frion. Have this done profesionaly. You can over charge the system and the same thing could happen again. My truck did the same thing and the dealor wanted to take my dash apart to fix a door that was not broke. I took my truck home and pulled the blower out and I could see the door they said was broke. . It was working fine so I went to an A/C shop and paid $65. and had my system evacuated and recharged and have had no problems since. Several TDR members have been told there door was broke and contacted me to let me know they went to have there A/C recharged at an A/C shop and there A/C works fine now without having there dash torn apart. Have your frion checked before you go any further. If its low than thats the problem. The reason it works fine the next day is because the ice inside the air box melts overnight.

SKing is right about the freon charge

I used to have that problem as well but now I have a problem with the individual driver/passenger temp controls, when both are on cooling I still get warm air out of passenger side vents
