I thought I would tap into the knowledge base here. Where would be the most economical place to purchase a "New" Heater blower motor and Resistor for my "97" Ram 3500 CTD?

"97" Ram 3500 CTD auto, BD trans, mag-hytec, tst#5, gauges, AFE

Should be a universal fit, at least any 94-97 truck, whether 1/2 ton or 1 ton all have the same dash. Salvage yard - NAPA, Advance, Pep Boys should be able to get one.

You've taken yours out and hot wired it to a battery to make sure it is the blower motor and not the switch?

These are pretty simple 12vdc permanent magnet motors and not much to go bad on them unless they rust due to water or get burned out due to debris stopping rotation.

Good luck and Happy New Year.

I second hot wire the blower to insure it is in fact gone. I lost the blower in my dodge mini van. Checked blower, was good. Checked fuse good. Replaced resistor. Tried to find the relay thaought I did was good. changed out the switch. Still no fix. sent it to the dealer with the new relay on the seat. they said it was the relay and charged me 150. 00 to change it. The relay was above the dash fuse box and was a reat peta to get to. They stated it took three hours to change the relay.
