Hi everyone. I have an issue I'm hoping you all may be able to help me with. I'm not getting full heat out of the vents. Doesn't matter where the air is directed. This also is affecting the A/C but I didn't really notice it much this year.

Anyway, I'm wondering if I'm having a blend door issue, or an actuator issue. I have to slide the controls all the way to cold, then all the way back over to hot, sometimes multiple times before I get adequate heat out of the vents, even at full operating temps. I'm really hoping this is a relatively inexpensive fix and with the little kids and our only running/driving vehicle I need heat with the coming winter. Thanks. Mark.

The blend door and the recirculation door are separate. If your blend door broke and fell over the heater core, it can't get any air through the heater core and back out through the vent. I see lot's of these with the dual air mode... . they all get sent to someone else, mostly a friend at Dodge. I hate pulling dashes... ... Check TDR back issues, aobut a year ago, I think. I know they had a good article in there on just this topic. It shows pictures and drawings of the A/C box, and tells you how to fix it, and even pull the dash if you have to.....

Thanks for the clarification. If it was broken, wouldn't that prevent it from moving at all? I can get some warm air, just not "fully" warm air, like its not going to full hot even though the controls are all the way over. Does that make sense? I will try to describe it better if it doesn't.
