I have my overflow issue at the coolant bottle narrowed down finally! It will not seep AT ALL out the top of the overflow bottle if the heater is ON!! Where exactly is the heater core?? Will it take the dealer very long to repair it? If it's not that, it's a SLOW thermostat. Not much leaks at all, just a trickle out the very top. Not overheating or any performance issues.

Thanks!Oo.

The heater core is located inside the case under the dash with the A/C evaporator. I don't believe there is a valve in the supply lines to the heater, the air blend door just directs air through the heater when heat is called for. Sounds like you are getting some engine cooling from the heater and the problem may be the thermostat or at least not the heater. bg

I don't understand your problem... . if your saying that your getting overflow out of the overflow tank. . could you be filling it to full... . my trucks have the fluid level down, oh 5 or 6 inches when its cold, and maybe 2-3 inches when its hot... we never see coolant at the neck or overflowing..... and we don't add coolant... I don't think we've put coolant in the 04. 5 or the 05 since we bought them.....
