I am mocking up some parts on a 94' 1st gen head... ... for my 97'. .

does anyone know if the grid heater from the 94 will work ?

I'm building a complete air intake system but the factory heater for my 97' is integral to the manifold whereas the 1st gen has what looks to be a separate block similar to the cr's ... .

is it possible to use a heater grid from a newer truck that is being deleted??

I plan on building the manifold elbows as well as the plate that attaches the intake to the head and need to have the grid heaters ...

Thanks

any info is appreciated

94 is a 2nd gen. The heaters are the same 1st and 2nd gen. My 97 has a grid heater just like my 92, square block type, removable. Are you sure it's not just stuck on real good?

'94... . yeah your right 2nd gen... . but there are two different grid heaters that I am looking at for sure... . (not stuck on)..... persay... . its like them engineers made two separate manifold plates for these things... ... . perhaps one is more so designed for case etc... . thanks for the info.

The main thing to pay attention to is the position of the intake hole, but I think all 12-valves it's in the same. I know on 24-valves it's closer to the front of the engine.
