Does anyone remember discussions of replacing the flow restrictor in the heater hose? Mine's a '99 and I remember discussion a long time ago of replacing the restrictor with another P/N to get rid of a sound often confused with the turbo. I have tried searching, but can't come up with it.

you dont really need a new fitting . drain some coolant remove the heater hose ,remove the fitting take a punch or screw driver and drive out yhe plastic restrictor.
