Is there any way to recirculate heated air in the cab without using outside air? My wife would appreciate the lack of diesel smell when in traffic using the heater .

I have had cars that would recycle interior air both heating and cooling.

There doesn't seem to be that choice on my 2001. 5 heating, max air conditioning eliminates outside air in summer.

Thanks for your input.

As long as your not backing up the diesel smell shoulnt be in the cab. I plow at slow speeds for 2-30 hrs, never get any smell unless im backing with pass window down. If you havent rerouted your breather tube, extend it down and rearward past the trans, that should take care of any smell your getting from oil. Once i rerouted mine i didnt smell anything.

When the A/C is on MAX the outside intake vent is in the closed position. It will recirc ONLY in cab  My Hx40 leaks at the outlet when my exhaust brake is on so in the mornings I have the A/C in the MAX position and the temp knob set to fry. After 7 minutes the cab is nice and toasty without sootage stink.

The max air is the position you want. The A/C will not kick in when the outside temperature is below about 41 degrees anyway.
