Any of you 3500 dually owners who tow HEAVY (20k+trlr) have a KORE system? I've done a bunch of reading here and on KORE's site, but they don't mention much about heavy towing. I'm pretty sure the leveling kit would improve the front end, but I don't know if the rear mini's will work with airbags or add-a-leafs. I occassionally tow with about 6000-6500+lb of tongue weight on the gooseneck so I need the extra umph on the rear. I really don't want to raise the front 'cause then I'll just have to raise the rear even more, but I suppose to get a better ride the front's gotta go up. I'm trying to find a way to make a work truck ride like a 1/2 ton chevy. Not too sure it's do-able.

The mini packs replace the extra thick leaf under the main pack so it shouldnt cause a problem with the air bags. My '99 2500 with the mini pack has seen about 4200lbs in the bed, it was set down quite a bit but I dont think much more than with the stock overloads, the max load I had with them was 3800lbs. It handles 3500lbs quite well but thats a long way from 6500 :-laf There are guys running around 12,000lbs gross with heavy campers that are very happy.

I don't think you will ever get a smooth ride as long as the overloads are working (riding on their rubber pads attached to the frame above the springs). I frequently haul loads when I total 26,000# and it's a 1-ton truck not a 1/2 ton so it will always ride differently.

I would recommend you remove the lowest thick leaf in the pack install the mini pack and the airbags.

I think you'll be extremely pleased with the ride empty or loaded that way.

The biggest question to me would be wether or not the remove the upper overload leafs. I would try with them off first and if needed reinstall them.
