Thanks for the feedback.

A friend is wanting to put one on his truck but he often tows 2 jeeps on a gooseneck down into Kentucky.

I cautioned him about towing with a large turbo and that he might want to go with the 62/14.

I'll now tell him otherwise.

I tow weekly really heavy with a SPS 62/14. If you aren't doing a lot of stop and go in traffic the 66 might be allright but Brady and the boys talked me into a 62/14. It rocks!

Since the Easterners dont really pull the hills :-laf , and only in the hills (I couldnt do it on the flats) I think it would be OK. I just got back towing the new snowmobile trailer (only about 7000 lbs though) around 5k ft. I had some moderate surge if I was lugging it up a hill in 5th or 6th it would surge at about 15 lbs it did it in 4th as well if I was really pulling hard up a good grade. It wasnt bad to drive around except for once it got bad but it cooled plenty good and Im not complaining. TST on 5/5 and EZ on 30 and 50 HP settings. If he is towing his jeeps and makes it to the hills you might want to just let him know.

I towed about 10k up some hills the other day and The turbo cools fine and makes the power but I didnt like it for towing,,, I have the twins program with my tst box so If i turned the box up to get the power the turbo would build boost to quick and was not very driveable. . Im sure with the stock mild program with the tst the towing would be alot smother. . I was only using my tst box for towing the ts ramifier was unhocked. .
