What Do You Guy's Think of GM 6.2 Diesels?

When the outside temp drops below 20 after start-up I experience rough idle, heavy white smoke, stalling then hard re-start. I've been using an anti-gel additive and the fuel filter was just changed thinking the problem was that. Still actin' up. Suggestions?

What is your timing set at?Check your fuel return hose for cracks or leaks. Check fuel pressure. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

Are you using your grid heater... in other words are you waiting for the "wait to start" light to go out before you crank?

Sorry, but gotta start (no pun intended) with the basics.

White smoke and stumbling in cold weather sounds like a grid heater problem, as noted above. You should see a significant voltage drop when the heaters kick in, and then come back up to around 13VDC. If you don't see it, there may be a connection or IAT sensor problem.
