I also would like to hear the answer. I have not been able to find one in the manual. My rear brake pads have 165k on them and still look good. Tells me they dont get used a whole lot.

My 01 has nothing for the height sensing, don,t need it with the

disc brake. 01,s and 02,s had cheap pads. mine and two others

i know of had the pad rot off the metal backing on the rears.

When you check your rear brake take a good look. You will still have

brakes but the lining is moveing around and messing up your rotors

Rear brakes

My rear pads rusted off at 55,000 miles. Had plenty of pad left. Just had the backing plates rust away. Replaced with performance friction. Work well now. Mine is an 02 3500

If your truck has it, you should have a rod linkage near the back of the truck for this.

The rear disc trucks don't have it, nor do they need it.

I pull a trailer in town all day every day, my truck has 76k on it and finally the rear pads wore out, they where rusted like all heck too. the fronts are on their 3rd set after the orginals so 4th total, the performance friction last twice as long, plus with the warranty I got free ones last time around. it would be nice since I have about 700#'s of ball weight if I could crank up the rears

I agree with being able to get more out of the rears when towing.

Another DC questionable...
