Short Bed Truck Which Hitch ??

HI to everybody here. I have been a long-time regular in the Conversions group and have an RV/Towing question. I've converted an '85 1/2 ton Dodge Ram Prospector shorty to a Cummins 4BTA for some nice fuel ecomony. If you read my posts you see I tow a 20' 4,500 lb. boat. I would like to add a camper over my truck and tow the boat which has good working surge brakes. The '85 truck performance is better than my one ton '91 Ram w/ Cummins (no fuel turned up; retiring because of too many transmission problems and I don't want to do the conversion to a 4500 transmission). There is a set of lift springs added all the way around but the springs reflex somewhat with a full load of firewood about one foot over the top edge of the sides (this part sucks compared to my one ton). I'm finishing the addition of "Air Lift" bags to the 1/2 ton to correct the spring issue. I also have a set of 6 ply tires all the way around. I'm running the front end pressure at 47 psi of a 50 psi cold rating to hold up the Cummins weight up front.

Will I be able to make this work out O. K? Any suggestions on a brand or model of slide-in camper for my shorty? Tires? Brakes? Any information would be greatly appreciated to make this work out with minimal safety risks.

Thanks,

Barry
