Boys,

I will just lead with this: The damn deal was so good I burned my fingers on my jeans pocket when I went for my wallet.

Mike at Hog Exhaust is wheelin' and dealin' on these 4 inch exhausts and I just don't know how you can turn down a true 4 inch exhaust, mandrel bent in polished T-304 stainless from the turbo back at the price he is offering. (Kit even comes with a DVD installation video, stainless band clamps... . Whew!!... It is making me slobbery just thinking about it. I even got two mufflers to protect my big ole' sissy ears and the deal was still screamin!

The "official deal" on the 4 inch system ends today (end of January), but Mike says he is always giving good deals, especially to TDR members. Give him a call you won't be disappointed. He will answer the questions he can honestly, and pass you over to his tech guy, Steve, for the hard questions. He just seems honest and he dang sure wants your business, and the deals, whew!

(I don't work there and wouldn't buy any stock, 'cause they are giving their products away at these prices!)  :D

The hog website indicates this is a "turbo back" system. By turbo back, does anyone know if this bolts to the back of the turbo elbow, or replaces the elbow like the Banks system.

I've been unable to get through to hog (they are probably busy if their sale ends today)

Dan

That is the beauty of the Hog system, It is a TRUE 4" ss exhaust. It starts at the back of the turbo, flairs out to the full 4" in the first 10" of pipe, from there on back it is 4" ss polish pipe.

I thought the turbo outlet (with the elbow removed) was already 4 inches. If the hog system gradually tapers to 4 inches, it must connect to the 3. 5 inch elbow and is not quite a true 4 inch system.

Why do you guys always say, "so and so gave me a great deal on this", but you never mention any prices. What are you afraid of

WHY would you post a message about this killer screamin deal and ramble on, but fail to post the price? How much?

Thanks, Tman

All right, All right... if you want it you got it...

Now remember the deal is over so I can't guarantee this price is still good... .

You better sit down this is huge, it will make your knees buckle!

I got the 4 inch SS (T-304 all polished) turbo back exhaust, the augmentor muffler (the quiet one), my choice between the standard and high flow muffler (two mufflers total), my choice of either the 5. 5 inch or 6 inch exhaust tip, the SS band clamps, SS hangers, and the instructional install DVD for the low price of... .

$*** to my door!!! (My door in Alabama, not Hawaii) PM ME FOR THE PRICE!!!

I am stoked, if you don't think is a good price don't tell me (I don't want to know... I will just enjoy my blissful ignorance... ) because after pricing DPP $499 for aluminized with one muffler & $899 for polished SS with one muffler and Banks prices I am pumped. .

How's that for building the suspense... .

Now don't go and all call Hog on Monday, it will just crash their phone system. .

The turbo outlet is 3. 5" inches so no exhaust is a "true" 4" unless you have upgraded the turbo to something like a HX40 with a 4" outlet. To me, the exhaust is only as big as the smallest part, the turbo outlet. Kinda like the weakest link in the chain scenario.

I think only vendors are not permitted to post prices, the only reference to pricing I found in the site guidelines was under "Vendor participation"

5. 2. No direct solicitation pricing discussions are allowed on the TDR Discussion Forums. The discussion of prices is best left off-line in a private e-mail to those with interest as noted in the appropriate area of the Classified Advertisements. Why? Because many people who visit our Website do not want to pay to read solicitations and sales pitches in our technical Discussion Forums.

I was requested to not publish the price by Hog, but I feel that I am allowed to tell my "friends. " My "friends" normally PM me, so that we can talk in private... . ;)

I echo Jeff Clark on the 3. 5inch turbo outlet restriction, I think I PM'ed that to somebody earlier. The Hog opens up to 4 inches in the first 10 inches of pipe and is 4 inches mandrel bent from there to the end. Even with the Banks system and the new elbow, you still have the restriction of the 3. 5 inch turbo outlet, there lies the "restriction" which can only be remedied with a new turbo (bigger outlet. )

Hi all, I just dug around in the garage and found the cast elbow I took off the '03 for the Jacobs brake install. The inside diameter on the turbo end is 3. 75". The ID on the outlet side is 3. 25". I think exhaust pipe measurements are outside diameter (OD). So turbo outlet is pretty close to a 4". Anybody got an exhaust pipe in their hand so you can measure ID and OD? I'll measure mine when I get it.

Dpp has a temporary sale right now - 4" t409 stainless for $489. Two hundred bucks off normal price. T304 is still $829. Since the t409 has a 10 year warranty, I think thats plenty for the term of my ownership... can't see getting 304.

I was also asked by HOG not to post the price -- something to do with other distributors. Let's just say that I paid for my T304 s/s HOG system with 6" rolled polished tip what others above are paying for t409. ;)

Well nobody responded to my post yet and no I didn't say how much I paid either. PM me if you want to know but I'll tell ya-----a full banks monster exhaust with an aeroturbine (I figgered I'd try it and Tony at AT and DPP said it would improve upon the already excellent banks system) and a TAG (turbo air guide) for less than retail of a banks sytem by itself. Plus I get an exhaust system that is as 4 inch as 4 inch gets. I shopped around, I was sold, I bought it. Can't wait to get it and put it on! Oo.

I heard a rumor that the HOG guys are about to be sued by a company called TTR HP about some sort of patent issue (apparently the Hogs Augentor "jet engine technology") is a copy of their patented product. Has anybody heard anything about that???

Can't the Dealers that sell the Hog get sued too???
