Hellwig anti-sway bar, anybody using it?

Been driving lots this winter with the camper on, she's a swaying pretty good. Anyone using a Hellwig anti sway bar or other sway bars that work well?



Hellwig part # 7626 (2), they say it won't fit if the tank is too big, does that mean us?

Have installed a IPD rear bar on my 01. 5 3500 with rs9000 shocks and a 10"8" Arctic Fox camper. this took out all of the sway for me. It works great on the BaJa road. Mel

Iput the Hellwig unit on my '95 and it really helped with sway with the camper on. Got it at J C Whitney for about $ 115.

hellwegs or other antisway on front?

Does anyone have the antisway bars for the front?? I would like the handling to improve, but I don't need um on the back (heavy duty trailer setup has both frame rails welded together with a 3/4 in big piece of flatstock steel: it don't sway at all)

I have a Helwig

On the Helwig, you have to install supplied spacer plates on both shock mounts and drill a hole in the left shock mount to accomodate the spacer plate. The sway bar a 1/4" thicker than stock and really improves handling.

No, The Rear

It's the rear I'm talking about. The front one on our trucks is monster and the only way to improve on the front one is (IMHO) is to replace the rubber bushings with polyurathane.



Upgrading the rear one makes our trucks corner like sports cars and is really nice when I have my 16K lb 5th wheel going thru curves, especially thru winding construction.

Correction on sway bar diameter

Gang:



I need to correct my earlier post about how much larger diameter Hellwig is over the stock swaybar. It's 1/8" larger not 1/4" larger. I believe the total diameter on the stock 1 1/8" and the Hellwig is 1 1/4" diameter.



I know if you get it you'll like it no matter.
