Is there any difference in these two sway bars. What I have read and noticed is this:

Hellwig comes in two sizes 1 1/8 and 1 5/16

Roadmaster comes in between the two 1 1/4

Hellwig end links are curved with different bushing ends

Roadmaster end links are straight with the ends the same.

Not sure which one to go with as I am comparing based on the data available online and photos.

I know both will work just looking for the best fit and end results.

Thanks, Ron B

I've got the 1 3/8" one from road master and have no problems in a couple of years now other than one of the end link bolts has come loose in the last few months and I can hear the clinking noise when I hit bumps. Not a big issue. It does it's job very well compared to not having it previously. When empty though, it is noticable that it is there, when the road has side to side imperfections on the surface, the truck hugs the road like a sports car and you feel the side to side tug in the seat. I have thought of just disconnecting one link end for the off season when I'm not in need of the bar.

Easy install, no drilling on the 3500 model.

Hellwig

I've got the smaller one w/my popup. My friend's running the larger one with his hardsided camper. They both work well and installed easily. Neither Carli LT's or Firestone airbags were an issue in fitment.

I also have the smaller Hellwig. The larger one wasn't available at the time I purchased mine. Easy no drill install and no interference with other suspension add-ons. It does help decrease sway and absolutely no problems hauling a heavy slide-in truck camper for several years.

How do they fit with a MH diff cover?
No issue with the 3rd gen model. The hoop goes way back toward the rear. Installation instructions are on the site for good pics. 315-70-17 spare will also fit,but must be pulled toward the hitch and secured with a ratchet strap

The road master one that I have has lots of clearance for the aftermarket diff cover and also does not interfear with the air bags.

I am leaning towards the Hellwig 1 1/8 inch size.

The one thing that caught my eye in the Roadmaster photos is it appears the Roadmaster bushing mounts to the shock absorber tab on axle housing and the Hellwig uses U bolts to hold the bushing mount.

Roadmaster prices are almost $200. 00 more than the Hellwig which is around the $225. 00 mark. It is hard to tell from just photos the vendors post as sometimes it is a model different from what you are purchasing.
