Asking for a friend. I am planning on doing a simple service on the transmission tomorrow but looking for some direction... This problem persists and getting worse. Sounds like he has to shift into neutral for just about every shift.
Need some help... Have a 2007.5 Ram 3500 6.7 with an automatic transmission with 122,000 miles. Today while driving, it started shifting hard into 5th gear and then at one point it would not shift out of 2nd gear unless I let off the accelerator, shifted into neutral and then shifted back into drive. It did it several times on me. No check engine light or codes have come up. Any ideas?
