Question for the transmission experts out there. I have an ATS stage 4 setup with triple lock and older dial knob type commander (although I don' think the specific brand is the issue here). I have to drive 350 miles tomorrow to get home and here is the issue.
Two days ago, after sitting all day in a parking lot at about 45 degrees, I started the truck, put it in gear and slowly pulled away at idle in a large parking lot. I applied slight throttle and it was like I was in neutral for about 1 -1. 5 seconds, then it "catches". First time I thought I was imaging things because it was so subtle and quick. Then today, same thing except at the exit of the parking lot as I briefly stopped to check traffic and then pull out. Again no drive for about 1 full second, then OK. I drove at up to 40 mph for 10 miles each time and NO problem whatsoever. Would a solenoid or other electronic failure cause this?
I have 4WD and transfer case is fine.
I have about 80K miles on the trans, ATF is full and clean. I have never adjusted the bands, have tchanged the fluid and filer about every 35K miles so far. Any good shops in the Atlanta, GA area that could check/fix me in a timely fashion? Kinda sweatin the drive home!
Thanks
