208000 miles on the truck, never had any problems with the transmission, it was time for an oil/filter change and I read on here that I should replace the governor pressure solenoid and sensor. Did that with Borg Warner parts. Also adjusted the bands per service manual, now it only shifts out of first if I let up on the throttle and will never shift out of second. Am I going to have to drain the oil back out and put the old solenoid back in?

I always say, what did we do to break it. Did you pull the valve body down or out to replace the sensor and transducer? Was there any debris when you took it apart that could have got inside? Are you sure you got the band adjustment correct? The one on the outside of the case is kind of hard to see and get to and unless you painted the socket or bolt it is very difficult to count the turns correctly. Also did you pay attention to how far you adjusted it, ie, amount of threads showing before and after adjustment?
