Got in to head off to work, started it up, ran for two seconds and it shut down. Now it will not start, turns over fine although the batteries are a little weak. Lift pump pressure has been 10-13 psi, and the lift pump has been and is working properly. Is there a way to pull up any code(s) or do I have to get someone to pull them.

Could this be the injection pump?

The truck had been running normally up to this point. My '93 can be put back into service for work till I get the '99 going again. Thanks for any input.

Codes from 99 must be read with scan tool. Are you reading fuel pressure pre or post filter/ If pre, loosen a couple of the injector lines at the head and turn engine over a couple of times to see if fuel is getting there, if not check the fuel filter. If you are reading after the filter then it is probably ok but could be water in the system, check the out put from the filter drain. Was it cooler than usual there this morning? I drove a 99 120,000 miles and only time it didn't start it was the lift pump. bg

Well like I said lift pump is pushing fuel either way (post or pre filter). I did loosen 2 injector lines at head and no fuel is present after cranking. I also pulled the VA out, wired it back to stock and still nothing. Guess I'll have to get someone out to pull codes. Thanks for replying.
