I have had an issue with my truck of not wanting to restart when the truck is hot in hot weather because of excessive fuel pressure provided by my FASS DDRP lift pump. To test this theory I would dump a slight amount of fuel from the water separator/filter and then try it and it would start up instantly. This gave me an idea so I 'T'ed in a 12 VDC Parker NORMALLY CLOSED solenoid valve rated for diesel fuel with my fuel pressure gauge and 'T'ed the outlet of this valve in the return to tank pipe. I wired the solenoid to a momentary contact switch on the dash and wired that to 12 volt power outlet that is hot all the time. (If you wire it to an 'only on when the ignition switch is on' source the valve will drop out and close while the start is running which is when you need the valve open. )
Now comes the fun part - I bought the valve at the ParkerStore in Chattanooga and am now in a facebook contest called "Let's get back to work" about buying Parker items and using them to get something 'back to work'. I need as many votes as I can get, if you have a facebook account please go to this link and vote for Brent: http://bit.ly/Uo5LHn
THANKS! I truly appreciate it!
