Some kids in town kinda wrecked it for the rest of us by hot-rodding around at 2am the past couple of weekends. Now the cops are issuing 10 day tickets for anybody that has removed their mufflers to get them back on. I need ideas for aftermarket mufflers to fit a stock exhaust. Part numbers would also help. I have my stock muffler, but that sucks. I need some tone...

Is the resinator still installed? That should count as a muffler. Also if you want to get technical the turbo itself is a muffler. Sorry I cant help ya out on a replacement muffler, but I'm sure someone will chime in.

Rhino Performance # 911. Ain't louder than stock and works great for me. It's a free flow (strait through) muffler.

Walker makes one in 4" I think it's a 29471 that does'nt rob HP. Might check with Don M I think he used one to kill the drone.

Walker 21471 in 4" about 36" long

Walker 21468 in 3" in and out, about 30" long. I think the 4" is a bit quieter due to extra length of the core. If you delete the rejsonator with its 4" outlet, the rest of your system is 3". A piece of pipe expanded on one end and the 21468 would then fit readily.

muff

I just put on a Dynomax #17225 and it sounds throatier than oem. i believe it is 22" long. the local muff shop put it on for 65 beans. :) :)

Just leave it like it is. The resonator is definitely a muffler.

I had a straight 3" without the cat, the drone was a little annoyong at 70-75mph so I installed a 24 valve resonator.

(Thanks Redneckdr) Anyway, it sounds like I put a muffler on it. I can still hear the beast talk and the turbo whistle, just much more mellow.
