Okay, here's my situation: I'm running a Pro Torque Converter, Performance Valve Body from Van Haisley of JVD, which I had ran for almost a year with no problems what so ever. Now all of a sudden the converter seems to not be holding in lock-up, well I had my warranty with Van replace the converter and it's still slipping (basically it'll shake a Mt. Dew bottle outta my cup holder). So from that, my trannsmission shop thought it may be internal in the clutches so I had everthing replaced inside and out. Status: STILL DOING THE SAME D@M% THING!!, so the guys at the transmission shop unhooked the lock-up and it's not shuddering a bit. Line pressures were checked and were all where they were supposed to be. Well now I that I talked to JVD again, they said that Pro Torque said my first converter still looked like a new one. So now I sit here really pi$$ed, b/c I just paid for having the whole transmission rebuilt, a brand new converter put in, and it's still not right. Anyone that has any insight on what the problem might be, please let me know b/c It would be very appreciated. And the thing is, i'm not running either of my boxes, just my injectors and it's that bad. Thanks!!

Erik,

I have to wonder if they really did replace the torque converter.

Did anyone take the VB apart and clean it? My service manual shows valve body malfunction as a possible cause of most TCC shudder problems. Basic remedy is to take it apart and clean it.
