:{ :confused: Good Day. Dose any one know why my truck is smoking really bad and the MPG is at around 11-12 and it smokes like crazy? I checked it all and put in a new MAP sensor and Cleaned the air flitter and still the same. on the hiway the EGT is at 700-800 post turbo and the fuel press. is at 15-17 Psi and the boost is at 22. What do you all think is going on? :confused:

Ho there is more power the ever. (good thing)(MPG bad thing) Diesel is at $0. 82/Liter :{ :{

Have you changed the fuel filter lately? Also make sure your exhaust brake is not partialy engaged.

You have a good point with the exhaust brake I will check that tonight and the fuel filter is new it only has 200 km on it.

Good catch on the exhaust brake, I hadn't thought of that. You may also try looking for boost leaks.

Well Checked the exhaust brake and it opens all the way. And also checked for boost leaks and all the clamps are tight and the hoses are good. But keep Coming with the thoughts. thank you very much for the thoughts.

Thanks Keith :) :)

The IAT sensor may be your problem. If it is misreading air temp, you can get black smoke. You can clean the sensor. It's to the rear of the fuel filter and the big spark plug socket fits it.

Mine started running really rough & burping and Crosstown diagnosed dirty injectors. I thought they were full of $##t but they cleaned them & runs good again

Thanks for all the help. Well I did clean the IAT sensor last night and it was still the same.

But I'm now thinking that the injectors could be dirty. I will check that out when I get back tonight and Well I hope that it all because last night I found the the timing cover is leaking.

But keep the good ideas coming.

:) Thanks Keith
