HELP?California Traffic Info I-5 Sacramento area

Hey All



Im getting ready for my annual summer trip to Washington State. I need help with the North bound road construction in the Sacramento area.



My first stop is Oroville Ca at the KOA. I will be leaveing on 07/30 Wed.

You might dial up the CHP for their road conditions report in the areas you plan to travel - I forget the number, but it should be in the directory...

Thanks Gary, Ive been checking Cal Trans web site. They say the work is to be completed 07/28, but thats whats been on there for awhile now.



I was hoping a member in the area might se my post.

Local news (News10) in Sac still indicates completion by 7/28 or possibly sooner.

I've been up and down the I-5 four times in the last two months travelling to Oregon. There has been alot of construction on the I-5 just south of downtown Sacto. Because of this, when travelling N/B I have been taking I-99 to Sacto and I then cut across near downtown Sacto back to the I-5. Hope this helps.

macdaddy, The I-5 construction is supposed to be completed tomorrow 7/28/08 and all north and south bound lanes will be open again. You can log onto www.fix I-5.com to check on it.

It's complete and open as of 5 AM today.

I've done it 4 times with a trailer recently and there is an easy and clearly marked detour.

Thanks gentlemen I just checked the Cal Trans web site and they do show all north boung lanes open through the Sacramento area.
