2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission HELP ! Dana 70 options?

I'm needing to rebuild my Dana 70 (1997 4x4 auto 3:54. open diff)



Any advise?



My housing may be twisted and or bent. :{



I think I will try to find another 70 and have it rebuilt with a limited slip diff.



will a 2x dana 70 fit?

what years will fit my 97?

should I go for the 80?

So far I figure I'm looking at 1500. 00 to have mine built if the axle housing can be saved.

anyone have a Dana 70 for sale?

can anyone recommend a shop in So. Cal. ?

Check the classifieds, there is one from Feb 28 on there from a '99.

The 99 too far away.

The 95 sold.



A replacement (empty) housing is 1700. 00 from the dealer.



I can get a Posi unit for 450. 00



I found a used open (no posi) for 650. 00.



I'm now looking for a re-buildable Dana 70
