Appears the middle light is installed too far forward. What in the world other than kicking some grease monkey's ***** can I do? I guess the ******** will have to bondo?

I am about to go ape $^%#... . never again will Courtesy Dodge touch my truck after this is over.

Yup, them lights are definetly out of whack! They come with a template... did the dealer even use it?

You might want to call your insurance company and ask them if you have any options.

Now you've mentioned their name here, so I'm sure members here will avoid them in the future.

Oh man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow thats a bummer I can't imagine what the hell they we're thinking???

Raise hell #@$%!

You mention that the middle one looks too far forward. I think all 5 of them are uneven and out-of-whack. I'd be willing to bet the tech that did this did it "eyeballed" it.

-Ryan

P. S. Almost inevitably, the dealer will tell you "they look fine to us!". Maybe you should take this thread with you and point out that in an anonymous poll of internet Dodge enthusiasts, the general opinion was that the lights are screwed up.

Just checked my factory ones and the 3 middle lights are even distance from the windshield and the outer 2 are farther back. Seems like they didn't use the template or maybe they used some other kit besides a mopar light kit.

Dixie Dawg, those lights are screwed up bad, I'd MAKE them fix it right. Jwilliamson did you have your lights installed by the dealer? I have a 3500 that comes standard with the lights and mine are just as you described yours.

Make then take it to a good body shop and have it fixed. Roof will need a patch welded in probably. If they refuse, call your state BAR or D/C customer service. If that does not work, go to small claims court. You will win their hands down

Here is my truck. The lights were installed by Dodge at the factory as standard equipment since mine is a 3500. This is what they SHOULD look like.

Hope this helps. :)

I am awfully picky about my truck and what's done to it - I don't see that they look bad or misplaced. I even like it - They all look perfectly symetrical. There is ample space from middle light to windshield so it doesn't look 'crowded'.

What did you see that made you think they were not right? I'm not taking sides here - just trying to encourage you to step back a minute.

I tend to agree. I think that the fix will be worse than the cure. Ive complained about scratches and stuff in the past and the paint and body work never seems to satisfy me. I would live with it and try to get the dealer to make a cash settelment. Otherwise, you may have a "leaker" after they fix it. Heck, the factory ones leak in 1 out of every 4 trucks anyway.

Just my opinion. :)

Good Luck

Camera angle may have something to do with the photo's. They're supposed to be in a semi circle. If the center one is just more forward I'd live with it. Its not the DEALER screw up per se. Its the MAN doing the job. I bet THEY won't let this happen again and HE won't do any more or at least learn to follow instructions!

Maybe there is enough wiggle room to move one or two (and still keep the holes covered, properly sealed of course) to improce the look??

My lights were installed at the factory and while they are a little different I think yours look fine. As long as they are spaced evenly I think you will have a bigger mess trying to get it exactly like the factory install. I would also be concerned about leaks if you move them and have bodywork done. Consider them "custom" and no one else has one like yours. As a previous poster said about being picky, I am too but I think those lights while different look just fine. Leave them alone, maybe you can get them free...

Yep try and get a straight on camera shot and see. It's pretty hard to screw em up as I believe there are dimple marks up under the headliner as to where they need to be drilled for wiring and mounting.

I think that they were installed incorrectly but they look ok to me and I would be ****** but I would leave them alone. They still look cool with that set up from the ground.

While I would have to agree with you that they are not in the stock position I don't think they look bad, AT ALL. They appear to be symetrical when looking at them from the front. When viewed from the side, you may even have an advantage of more light showing. The middle light on the stock positioning is hidden by 2nd & 4th lights. Your middle light protrudes forward a little more and will probably show up better, when viewed from the side. Cab lights are, I believe, for safety and yours will show up even more than others, which, may be a good thing.

They, certainly, don't look bad enough to have body work done to correct what is a minor inaccuracy. The cure may be worse than the problem.

Good luck with your decision.

I agree with the above post, even if there not to excact factory spec they still look good especially if your not having any kind of problems with leaks. Also I believe any kind of body work could be asking for trouble JMO. I would leave them alone also if it was my truck.
