Help dome lights dims to soon?

I hope someone could shead some light... I have a 06 Mega. The other day I noticed that the dome lights turn off after opening the doors before you can even get out of the truck. The manual says they should stay on 10 min.

Just disconnect your negative battery cables for ten minutes, hook them back up and the dome light will work the way it should.

My mothers 06 did the same thing. I did what RankRam is telling you to do and it worked perfectly. I think I only did it for one minute though. But 10 will make sure.

Anybody know if this works on an 03? Mine has been doing it for a while (not sure when it started, though) and it drives me crazy. I guess I'd like to know before I brave the cold, loose the radio presets, etc.

Doesn't the light go off as soon as you lock the vehicle? Seems to me when i lock mine the light goes right off. I have never just walked off with it open to see how long the light stays on...

OK, here is something weird...



At night, I get out of the truck, and before I have my gear out of the back,

(30 seconds) the lights go out... .

This happens with either the drivers side door, or the drivers side passenger door...



BUT if it is the PASSENGER side door, it stays on for about 30 minutes... .



I have a truck with a Bi-polar problem!!!



Going to try the battery disconnect remedy.

It seems to have helped mine. It's one of those annoying things that you don't get around to looking into, but when it falls in your lap that there's an easy cure, it makes it even more annoying and hard to ignore further.
